Protect Your Paint. Preserve the Finish.
Ceramic Coatings in Beaverton, Oregon
Long-term paint protection, enhanced gloss, and easier maintenance with professional ceramic coatings installed at our Beaverton shop. Proper preparation comes first.
What Ceramic Coating Does
Durable Protection. Enhanced Gloss. Easier Maintenance.
Oregon weather, road grime, UV exposure, and frequent washing take a toll on your vehicle’s finish. A professional ceramic coating creates a durable protective layer that enhances gloss, helps repel water and contaminants, and makes your vehicle significantly easier to wash and maintain.
After the paint has been properly prepared and refined, the coating bonds to the surface to help preserve that freshly detailed appearance longer than traditional wax or sealant approaches.
- Deep, long-lasting gloss and paint clarity
- Hydrophobic water and dirt repellency
- Protection from UV exposure and environmental contaminants
- Easier washing and routine maintenance
- Durable protection that lasts far longer than traditional wax

Realistic Expectations
What Ceramic Coating Does — and Doesn’t Do
Ceramic coating is excellent protection and maintenance technology. It is not a substitute for careful driving or proper washing habits.
What It Does Well
- Adds durable chemical and environmental protection
- Enhances gloss, depth, and slickness
- Creates strong hydrophobic behavior
- Makes routine washing and maintenance easier
- Helps reduce contamination adhesion
- Preserves a properly prepared finish longer
What It Does Not Do
- It does not make paint scratch-proof
- It does not stop rock chips or impact damage
- It does not remove existing swirl marks or defects
- It does not eliminate the need for proper washing
- It is not a replacement for Paint Protection Film when physical impact protection is the goal
Because a ceramic coating locks in the condition of the paint underneath it, proper preparation and, when needed, paint correction come first.
Proper Preparation Comes First
Our Ceramic Coating Process
Wash & Decontaminate
Thorough wash and paint decontamination remove dirt, road film, and bonded contaminants.
Inspect & Evaluate
We assess the paint condition and determine whether polishing or paint correction is needed.
Prepare & Coat
The paint is properly prepared so the coating can bond. The ceramic coating is then carefully applied.
Cure & Final Check
The coating is allowed to cure and the vehicle receives a final inspection before delivery.

Paint Correction & Ceramic Coating
Why Preparation Comes First
A ceramic coating locks in the condition of the paint underneath it. Existing swirl marks, haze, or defects will still be visible after coating if they are not addressed first.
Every vehicle is inspected before coating. Depending on the condition of the paint and your desired results, a paint enhancement or additional correction may be recommended.
Paint Correction
Paint correction refines the clear coat to reduce swirl marks, light scratches, oxidation, and haze so the finish looks clearer and glossier before it is protected.
Correction improves the appearance. Ceramic coating then protects that properly prepared finish.

Common Questions
Ceramic Coating FAQs
How long does ceramic coating last?
Durability depends on the coating selected, how the vehicle is used, and how it is maintained. We offer different levels of protection so you can choose the option that matches your ownership plans and maintenance habits. Proper washing and care help the coating perform as intended.
Does ceramic coating prevent scratches?
No. Ceramic coating provides excellent chemical and environmental protection and makes the surface more resistant to light marring, but it does not make paint scratch-proof or rock-chip-proof. For physical impact protection, Paint Protection Film is the appropriate solution.
Does a new vehicle need paint preparation before coating?
Yes. Even new vehicles often have bonded contaminants, transport film, or minor surface imperfections. We inspect and properly decontaminate the paint so the coating can bond correctly and perform as intended.
Is paint correction required before ceramic coating?
Not always, but it is often recommended. A ceramic coating locks in the condition of the paint underneath it. If swirl marks, haze, or defects are present, they will still be visible after coating. We inspect the paint and recommend only the level of correction needed for your goals.
Does a coated vehicle still need washing?
Yes. Ceramic coating makes washing easier and helps the vehicle stay cleaner longer, but regular proper washing is still required. The coating does not eliminate the need for maintenance.
When can the vehicle be washed after coating?
We provide specific aftercare guidance based on the coating applied. In general, the vehicle should be kept dry and free of contaminants for a short curing period before the first wash. We’ll give you clear instructions at delivery.
Can ceramic coating work with Paint Protection Film?
Yes. Many customers combine Paint Protection Film on high-impact areas with ceramic coating on the rest of the vehicle (or over the film, depending on the system). We can help you choose the right combination based on how you use the vehicle.
Is ceramic coating performed at the Beaverton shop?
Yes. Ceramic coatings are installed at our professional shop at 12225 SW Millikan Way in Beaverton, Oregon. Controlled conditions and proper lighting are important for correct application and inspection.
